For the last 14 years, the American Liver Foundation has hosted its annual Honors Gala in New York. The event brings together hundreds of guests to Gotham Hall to celebrate the organization’s accomplishments in treating and working toward eradicating liver disease. Attendees come from various healthcare backgrounds and also include members of the business community who support the non-profit’s cause. Each event also provides a platform to recognize those who have shown a tenacity for saving the lives of people suffering from the illness. A dinner and fundraising event, the gala has earned more than $4.7 million, which is used to continue research, education, and advocacy initiatives around the nation.
The American Liver Foundation was established in 1976. The only one of its kind at its inception, the organization partners with the American Association for the Study of Liver Disease to spread awareness and develop treatments and prevention solutions for liver disease.
